Obsession
— “An idea or thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a
person’s mind.”
-Oxford’s
English Dictionary
This semester is going by so
quickly, I can’t believe it. I can’t
believe next week is my last full week of classes for the semester and that
finals start in a little less than a month.
Read on to see what I really enjoyed during the month of October.
1. Simply
Nailogical.
The first video of Cristine’s that I ever
watched was Polish Mountain back a few years ago, but I never got into her
videos until quite recently. I think
it’s really interesting that YouTube is just her side gig and that she still
has six million followers. I really
enjoy her content, including her nail art videos and her other non-nail art
videos. If you need some mindless but
funny entertainment, check out her videos.
2. Buxom
Full On Lip Polish in Dolly. I got a
sample of this from Ulta and after using it for a few months, I had to buy the
full size because the sample is almost gone.
The color of this lip gloss adds the perfect color to the natural color
of my lips and smells amazing. It is a
plumping gloss but it’s not so plumping that it hurts your lips; it’s more like
the tingling sensation from Burt’s Bees.
I really recommend this as it’s a universal color and just complements
natural lip colors.
3. Brach’s
Naturals Candy Corn. Okay, so I know
candy corn is one of the most hated Halloween candies, but I actually really
enjoy it, especially this natural version of them. To make this brand of candy corn natural,
there’s honey in them that gives them the perfect amount of sweetness. I actually could eat more than a handful of
these without getting sick. Since
Halloween is over, stores don’t really sell these anymore but look out for
these next year when Halloween candy comes out.
4. The
Blairette (@thedewedit’s IGTV show).
I mentioned how I really enjoy listening to Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast
in one of my previous monthly obsessions posts.
Well, she started her own version of The Bachelorette on Instagram with
the winner of her contest to podcast with her.
Basically it’s like a low budget version of The Bachelorette, but it’s
pretty cool watching the dates on her IGTV show and listening to her updates on
the podcast. And plus, it’s like a three
minute video that can be watched super quickly.
5. Schmidt’s
Natural Deodorant in Charcoal and .
I got this in my September Target Beauty Box.
I never really used natural deodorant before so I wasn’t sure if it
would work well. And surprise to me, it
works as well as the other deodorants I’ve used like Secret and Dove. The smell of this deodorant is really fresh
and keeps me dry and good smelling for the whole day. And it’s around the same price as other
deodorants so it won’t break the bank. I’ve
actually purchased a full size of it so you know I actually like it.
6 (BONUS). kate
spade new york cameron street lucie.
Oh my goodness, I cannot believe I actually own this bag now. I first picked out this bag because Lexis had
this on their website and I was saving up my points for it. However, Lexis changed up their inventory and
this bag wasn’t on their website anymore but a few department stores still had
it. With a Kate Spade friends and family
discount and $200 in gift cards, I got this bag for $21 with tax. I had some shipping issues through Nordstrom,
but in the end I finally got my bag with Macy’s. I am absolutely in love with this bag and am
so glad I saved up my points for it. It’s
a light pink leather that has gold detailing and is super spacious. I think it’s the perfect lawyer bag that adds
a pop of color to any outfit and I’m so happy I purchased it!
What did you love this past month and
what are you looking forward to in the next month as finals approach?
OMG that Bag at that Price.. what a steal.. are you sure you're on the right side of the Law. Lol :D
